Dr. Livingood Daily · Supplement App

The member library moved onto the home screen.

Members were opening a browser to reach the programs, workouts, recipes and teachings they had paid for. We launched Livingood Daily on iOS and Android, and brought that library with it.

One library, always open — programs, workouts and teachings in one tab
Meal plans and recipes — downloadable food lists and a 21-day plan
A challenge with a finish line — twenty-eight steps, milestones dated
Workouts and rehab — guided sessions grouped in twenties
Livingood Approved, in the aisle — scan an ingredient, get a verdict

Project Scope

The membership was the habit. The browser was in the way.

Guided programs, workouts, recipes and teachings moved into a native app, alongside the streak mechanics and scanning tools that only make sense on a phone.

A daily habit that started with a sign-in page.

Dr. Livingood sells more than supplements. The membership is guided programs and challenges, workout plans, recipes, teachings and wellness resources — the part people come back for.

All of it sat inside a WooCommerce-centered experience, reached through a browser. Something members were meant to open every morning began with finding a tab and logging in.

A library people open daily belongs on the home screen, not behind a storefront.

What We Built

One app on both platforms, carrying the member library, the habit mechanics that keep people in it, and the tools that only work on a phone.

The Member Library, Moved

Their content library, migrated off WooCommerce.

Meal plans, recipes, workouts and rehab sessions, video teachings and member-only resources moved out of the WooCommerce-centered experience and into a Library tab.

The membership stopped being somewhere to navigate to and became something already open.

Workouts grouped in twenties, each naming its exercises and optional equipment

Livingood Approved, in the Aisle

A barcode and ingredient scanner with a verdict.

Members scan a product and get one of four answers — Challenge Approved, Lifestyle Approved, Avoid, or Inconclusive — with the reasoning behind it rather than a score out of ten.

It is the one feature that cannot work anywhere but a phone, standing in a supermarket aisle. That makes it the reason to install, and the reason to keep the app.

The scanner states what it looks at and what the four verdicts mean before it asks you to scan anything.

A Challenge With a Finish Line

Streaks, milestones and a crew to run them with.

Challenges run as a counted sequence — twenty-eight steps against a progress bar — with dated milestones on the way: the day it starts, the day the champion is announced, the day it ends. A habit with a shape holds better than an open-ended one.

Members join a numbered crew and move through it together, so the streak is shared rather than solitary. This is the part that decides whether an app gets opened in week six.

The Catalog, in the Same Place

The storefront moved in beside the library.

Best sellers, vitamins and minerals, electrolytes, collagen, greens and coffee are all browsable and searchable in-app, so the products sit next to the programs that recommend them instead of a browser away.
